CLUE - DALLAS THEATRE CENTER

Clue was the first show of DTC's current season, and it was met with amazing reviews and standing ovations. Here's what reviewers had to say:

"Of course, none of the side-splitting fun of Clue could have been possible without the superb direction of Alan Muraoka. Muraoka has a true understanding of how comedy works. He knows just where to place actors and how to move and group them to get the maximum comic effect. His transition and chase scenes alone are mini masterpieces and got roars of approval from the audience at the opening."
- Doug Sturdivant, DFW Center Stage

"Director Alan Muraoka crafted a masterpiece of comedy. The show was paced with high energy that kept the story moving. Clue has lots of details to keep track of but Muraoka wrangled the material to always be clear and understandable as well as funny."
-Dallas Voice

ELF

I had a blast directing my first show at Pioneer Theatre Company, and it was wonderfully received.

Directed by Sesame Street's Alan Muraoka, Elf brings out the inner child in the characters, actors, and audience alike
.-Tyler Hinton (BroadwayWorld.com)

For his PTC directing debut, Alan Muraoka is delightful. Possibly because he comes to direction from the point of view of an actor, or perhaps because of his long-time collaboration with Sesame Street, Muraoka knows just how to enchant his audience. Engaging stage pictures, fantastic transitions, and perfect comedic beats were all deftly handled by Muraoka.
